Buket is an artist who specialized in acrylics and graphite. Buket’s paintings have a colorful, distinctive style. While she paints a wide variety of subjects, her favorites and most recognized are her barnyard animals. She’s celebrated for her ability to give her subjects an intangible dimension that captures and endears the hearts of their viewers.
She grew up in Turkey and attended Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, where she earned a degree in Architecture. Buket moved to America to further her education, then to Geneva, Switzerland, and Amsterdam, the Netherlands with her husband and her 2 children. It was in Amsterdam, in a small atelier in the Jordaan area, where she studied and painted under the guidance of Hans Verwoerd. She became a full-time artist in 2020. Her home and studio are located in America Illinois.
